We went up to Glacier Point and it was the most amazing experience. It was a long way up by road, and a long way down. Glacier Point is a few hundred metres below Taft Pt, which we saw on our way up. The following day, the clouds came down and we were glad to have seen it when we did.
More birds here. We were sitting in the cafe watching them out of the window. I am still trying to identify them all. I love using the camera for bird-watching, because I can look them up. later. There are so many I do not know. The wild ones are at Yosemite.

Today we went to the lower Yosemite Falls, but could not even see the other two higher falls until we walked out into the valley. The upper falls on the left are nearly 2700 feet high. The middle and lower falls are in the centre picture and the falls we visited today are the ones barely visible behind the tree in this centre picture, and are featured in the right-hand picture, only 600 feet high.
I took these bird pictures while Helen was in the Post Office early in the morning. The moral of this story is birds, like humans, have to attend their toilette first thing, don't try to photograph them until they finish. This eventuates as an Acorn Woodpecker.
