Waterperry 2015
It should be Five have an Autumn Gathering, but there were a few too many of us, and I'm not even getting into who'd be Timmy the dog.
Waterperry has a beautiful Saxon Church.
St Mary's was founded before the Norman conquest and long before Waterperry. The Saxon stonework rises above the gothic arch. Robert FitzElys (d 1345) tomb portrays a stone efigy of him. The intricate detail here of his scabbard. |
The moral here being, don't make faces at the photographer, however mad they make you.
